Don't worry, Investment Managers do not directly hold investors' funds. Your investment assets are safely stored in a Custodian Bank, an independent institution responsible for safekeeping and recording mutual fund assets.
The Investment Manager's role is to manage the investment portfolio, not to hold the funds. Therefore, if the Investment Manager ceases operations, loses its license, or faces financial difficulties, investor assets remain safe as they are not part of the Investment Manager's assets.
Mutual fund ownership remains registered under the investor's name and can be viewed through AKSes KSEI. If necessary, the management of the mutual fund mat be transferred to another Investment Manager in accordance with applicable regulations, or investors may redeem their investment following the standard procedure.
